When I was a boy I loved drawing. It's filled with my scrabble in my bedroom. I was even punished by my mother because I doodled the furniture.
Memory 2
The design of this room is inspired by my life and background. The room is full with things I loved, such as games, basketball, bubble tea, and the heart of pursuing my dreams.
There’s a neon light in the room saying “The pursuit of dreams”, meaning non-stop fighting for our goals. I also expect myself to continuously make progresses, move forwards to my vision, and enjoy every moment in my life.
Memory 3
Where I grow up rarely snows. My girlfriend and I were extremely amazed and excited when we saw the snow for the first time. We took a lot of photos and the eternal beauty of nature will be always on my mind.
I met a girl who I loved. She loved me because of my creations. She took me for a trip and the trip and expanded my view.
Progress
MODELING AND RIGGIN
I modeled my design with 3DS max and used biped system for rigging. In terms of the style, I adopted cartoon features with hard edges. Also, I created the windows to let the light flow in a natural way that adds feeling to the rooms.
LIGHTING
I added the Reflection Probe component in the scenes so the atmosphere and colors are more natural and harmonious. There’s only one real-time light used in each scene, while all other lights are set to baked.
TEXTURE
I used substance painter for texturing the characters because it is intuitional and convenient. Substance painter also helped me to create custom export presets quickly.
PARTICLE
I like special effects a lot so I used default particle system to make the cartoon effects more fun and lively.
