🚮 Practice waste sorting and have fun with our game!
Hello! We are a team of two people – one developer and one designer from Ukraine. And we are extremely happy to be part of the CWC Game Jam!
To meet the theme «Modernizing a Classic» we chose the classic console design and the classic music in the background (so don’t forget to turn it on on the player control panel). And for modernization, we decided to cover the modern actual problem of society.
When designing our project, we were focused on four diversifiers:
Sustainability
Our days growing waste is a huge challenge for all of us. Since the average person produces around a ton of waste per year – it is extremely important to recycle as much as possible. But for materials to be actually recycled, they first need to find their way to the right waste stream to be collected and taken to the right place for recycling. This is what the process of waste sorting allows us to do.
Social Impact
Our game aims to teach children and adults to sort waste. This way we hope to do our own bit for saving our planet :)
Language Independent
We challenge ourselves to make a language-independent game. We hope it can help people of different countries (and languages) and children who are too young to read - to study how to sort waste while playing. So, there is not a single world or even figure in the interface.
We hope, despite this, everything will be clear thanks to the graphic symbols and the variety of possibilities to control the game.
Interactivity Mashup
In this game, several various mechanics are combined. You can use the mouse to move trash cans directly, or you can click on the D-buttons on the console, or you can control it from the keyboard. Everyone will be able to choose what is more intuitive and convenient.

Have fun and save the planet!
Good luck ☘️
