Join the September Mods Showcase Challenge
Calling all new Unity creators! Mod your Micro-Game to the max and submit it to our September Mods Showcase Challenge for a chance to win Unity swag and be featured in the showcase.
Flex your creative muscle, have fun, and share what you’ve created so far with your fellow creators. Personalize a Karting or 2D Platformer Micro-Game–add a dapper hat, trick it out with light trails and sparkles, toss in some brightly colored props, do some road work, even add your face on a billboard!
But you don’t have to stop there. If you’re up for it, just keep going and mod your mods! Add as many original and fun details as you can to make your Micro-Game stand out.
When you’re done, submit it as a WebGL game to the challenge!
How to participate
To join, you need to submit a WebGL build of your Micro-Game, by clicking the "Submit your game" button on your personal Share page. Remember to name your game, include a thumbnail image, and provide a short and fun description of your game.
Make sure to follow these instructions to share your game directly from the Unity Editor to your Share page.
Deadline for submissions is September 30, 2019.
Each submitted Micro-Game will be reviewed by our content team to make sure it’s ready for the September Mods Showcase Challenge showcase.
Simply submit your project–following the instructions above–for a chance to be showcased and win free Unity swag.
Rules & Requirements
To participate you will need to download and install the free version of Unity and open a Micro-Game. If you have not done this, please scroll down the page to “How do I open a Micro-Game” for instructions.
You need to submit a modified version of either the Karting or 2D Platformer Micro-Game. For this challenge, we will not be accepting original games created from a blank project.
Your Micro-Game must include one or more of the mods available via Unity Learn. In addition, you are free to add your own modifications. You can find the Mods here: Karting Mods, 2D Platformer Mods.
Please do not include personal information in your game, including pictures of family members, friends or acquaintances, your home, work or school address, and so on.
Offensive and/or illegal content will not be accepted in the Challenge.
