The Fire Keeper
# The Fire Keeper You are far away from home, stranded on a clearing in the midst of a forest and all you have to survive is a scorching campfire. How long will YOU be able to stoke the fire, before the freezing cold will bring your life to an inevitable end? # General Information One game session takes about 5 minutes, depending on the playstyle and strategy used. You get one point per second. A stick rewards you with 10 points when thrown into the fire and an apple grants you 100 points automatically. The points for sticks and apples have a bonus modifier based on the current level. You get another bonus, the more sticks you can throw into the fire at once. It gets harder though to survive, because sticks will start to spawn less frequently. So maybe revise your strategy. # Controls Move with "WASD" or "Arrow" keys. Pick up sticks and press "SPACE" when the indicator turns green to stoke the fire. Try to hold out as long as you can. The game is over when the fire burned out. Press "Q" to quit. The remaining fire intensity is displayed by the size of the fire, but also by the slider in the top right corner. Collect red apples to gain a speed boost and remember, the longer you can withstand the cold, the more points you get. # About the Project and the Development This is my first (somewhat) complete game development project, which I created from idea to this release as part of the Unity Learning Course "Create with Code". It took me about 32 to 40 working hours to complete, while learning Unity from scratch. It was a lot of fun, I learned a lot (mainly learned many things I don"t know yet) and I'm very proud of it. # Credits Thank you for the following free Unity Asset Store packs. You are awesome!
