Avatar Guitar Programmer
Goal: To create an expert system that can teach rhythm guitar basics by demonstrating how to play songs "rhythm guitar" style using 3D hands to play a 3D guitar. Procedure: Students create songs by entering a list of chords in a "lead sheet" and selecting rhythms to play them - for play-along practice. With the mouse controlling the cameras: 1. Left-click and drag to rotate. 2. Right-click and drag to zoom. With the mouse playing the guitar: 1. Left-click on a string on the fret board to play the note at that fret location . 2. Left-click and drag over the strings on the fret board to play more than one note. 3. Right-click and drag over the strings on the fret board to strum the current chord (work in progress). 4. Left-click and drag over the strings on the guitar body to strum the current chord (work in progress).

Black Hole Pool
Scenario: Instead of a 2D table, game play is inside a 3D room. And instead of 6 pockets, there are 20 pockets - located all around the "room". There is no opponent yet, but you can break the rack and then look around manually or auto-locate balls to shoot, take aim and then shoot them at the pockets. This version has multiplayer functionality (hosted by the Photon Server from Exit Games) right now, but is in very early development. So, if you find that suddenly the balls start moving with "starts and stops" without even taking a shot - someone else has already logged on to this multi-player game and has taken temporary control of your cue ball and your rack balls. In that case, you can try another time to become the first Player. The default camera view is from the centre of the cue ball. From here, a cross-hair appears for fine aiming control. When the camera is zoomed-out from the cue ball, the cross-hair is not visible. 1. Left-click on a ball - to select it and auto-rotate the camera to look at it. 2. Left-click on a black hole pocket to select it. 3. Left-click and drag in empty space - to adjust the aim for the shot. 4. Adjust the shot speed. TIP: Right-click and drag to zoom the camera in and out. 5. Press the space bar to take the shot. 6. Wait until all balls have stopped moving, then... 7. The cue stick and camera will be moved to the new cue ball position, and... 8. The cue stick and camera will be rotated to face the centre of the room. 9. "Rinse and repeat" to take the next shot. WORK IN PROGRESS: Aiming is not yet consistent and some shots will NOT go - when by golly, they should!
