Developed for Global Game Jam 2021 (theme: “Lost and Found”) You are a retiree spending his summer visiting the beach to rent a metal detector and see what he can find. Treasure hunting is against beach rules, so make as much money as you can while avoiding the cops! Controls: - Move……………………. Arrow keys - Toggle Metal Detector..... Spacebar - Sprint…………….……… Shift - Skip Conversation……… Enter Rules: + Each day, you have two minutes to find as much loot as you can. + To find loot, use spacebar to toggle your metal detector on, and walk around following the beeps until you uncover something valuable. + Don’t let a cop see you using your metal detector! They will try and arrest you. + Sprint away from cops to escape. If they lose sight of you they will search for you a little while before returning to their patrol route. + If cops catch you they will fine you. If you can’t pay the fine it’s game over. + At the end of each day you will visit a pawn shop, where you can purchase equipment to improve your stats. + You must pay a rental fee of $100 for the metal detector at the end of each day. If you can’t afford to pay it, game over. + Each day more cops will be on the beach, and they will become more aggressive. See how many days you can last!
