Multiplayer Game Developer

Hello I'm Stephen, an independent game developer from the east coast. I enjoy learning about all kinds of coding and different development processes, so I'm often taking new classes and creating new things. Many of the games here on my page are the results of some of those classes and my main focus lately is learning multiplayer networking for an online RPG, which is still under construction :) Feel free to try some of these games and leave feedback, which really helps improve the content.

Controls: WASD - move, Arrow Keys - attack, Spacebar - change weapons. HOW TO PLAY: The objective of the game is to get to the lowest dungeon floor possible, and collect as much gold as you can. You have 3 weapon types: sword, bow, and staff. sword attacks are reliable but you can be attacked back by the enemy. Bows can attack up to 5 spaces away, but you can run out of arrows. Using the staff will hit ALL enemies on screen at once, consuming all of your mana crystals and doing 1 damage to each enemy per crystal. This is very powerful, but even more limited than the bow. Find Bows, Swords, Staffs, and Shields in the dungeon to increase your stats for that item. Lastly, every 3 levels a merchant appears. talk to him with 25g or more and he will give you another heart container and refill your health.

This isn't ready for release or even demo yet, this is just a proof-of-concept build. Here I show all the features I have currently built into the game, including: (1) grid based movement system. (2) Item/inventory system with lootable, sorting, stackable, usable and equippable items. (3) Equipment system with stat affects and buffs, and specific equipment types/slots. (4) Complete Shop/NPC system with buying/selling/ and customizable inventory. (5) Enemy AI with follow, auto target, chase radius and attack range/speed. (6) Full combat system with melee, bow, and magic attack styles, combat text, animations, and health/mana bars. (7) enemy and item spawning, with custom or random locations. (8) Fully features menu and UI system with stat pages, inventory/equipment, settings and Working Save/Load buttons........ with much more already built and being debugged, and even more to come!
